Late morning, we travel to the historic town of Ilfracombe, the “Hub of the West” and enjoy lunch at the famous Wellshot Hotel. This afternoon, take your seat on the top deck of the M.V. Explorer, as you glide down the Thomson River and watch the colours of the Outback come alive at sunset. Enjoy complimentary nibbles and purchase icy cold drinks from our licenced bar.
Enjoy a free and lazy day exploring downtown Longreach or take one of the several options to explore the region further with a hire car, or a day trip to Winton with Golden West Tours at additional cost.

After an incredible Outback adventure, we transfer to Longreach Railway Station for your departure on the Spirit of the Outback to return home to your next port of call.
